Hello,

(This is a copy of my posting on PalmOne's site)

First, I used to have a Zire 71, and I used to sync it with its own Palm Desktop -- no major problems.

Later, I bought a T600 so I could have both Z71 and T600 share the same desktop -- or at least download some data to both.

Please notice: I DON'T mean to share the DATA between both devices ! I just want to access both devices through the desktop.

I upgraded Palm Desktop using T600's CD. All my previous Z71 info seems to be have been backed up. I can see their files.

But all the environment got mixed up. Every time I start up the Desktop, messages like "database not found" appear. If I try to import or open them, they come up, but disappear in the next shutdown, as far as I could see.

PalmOne, on this site, discourages from sharing data across handhelds. Okay, I DON'T want to share data. I just want to access both handhelds without sharing data between both.

I think PalmOne suggests using 3rd-party "collaborative" software. I just want to access both devices, not necessarily share the data.

I observed that it is possible by using different accounts (profiles?) and they are kept under different "modules", or applications in the desktop bar like: Addresses (Z71) and Contacts (T600).

Does any of you has some clue so I can use both handhelds with the same Desktop ?

I'm using Desktop 4.1.2. Maybe upgrading to 4.1.4 would help ?

Any forum pages or links ?

Thank you very much !
