I have had a T615C for about 6 months and have been very happy with it. That is until I saw the T665 at a local store a couple days ago. The color enhancements are outstanding and now I am considering upgrading the the T665.
My question: as far as the upgrade goes, if I back up all my data from the T615, can I simply do a synch with the T665 and have everything programmed as in the 615? Are they compatible in that respect? Or will I have to reinstall all my third party software one by one?
Thanks for any advice.

I just did the same thing, I have a 615 and I bought a 665.
On my computer, the plug and play detected it as a different device, but after I installed the 665 CD (that came with the Peg T665C) then I synced and it all transfered perfectly. Your memory stick works fine too. But a MS Backup won't work from one to the other (you can't backup on the 615, then restore on the 665, It knows it's a different device) But you can copy files from your 615, to your stick, then from the stick to the 665.

You won't have any troubles.

Tell me something if you notice it. On my 615 I could attach a picture to an address book entry and see a thumbnail on the address. On my 665, I can attach a picture the same way, but there is no thunbnail. There's a blank spot where the thumbnail should be. Tell me if the same thing happens to you please. I contacted Sony and they said it was too complex for them.... They wanted me to telephone Japan or something.... (I didn't do it!)
