Hello,

I have a Palm m105, running the 3.5.3 OS. On the software CD-ROM that came with my Palm was AOL 2.0 (build 30), so I installed it, bought a ClipModem, and gave it a try. All seems to work until I get to the password check part of the sign on process, then I get a message informing me my password is invalid. Here are the exact error messages I get, in order..

1.) ERROR: AUTHENTICATION FAILURE (0X1233)

2.) UNABLE TO ESTABLISH PPP CONNECTION

Anyone have any ideas what's going wrong? I have double checked my password, and it is right, as it always works with signing on using my desktop. I am at a stand still on this matter. I have emailed tech support for AOL for Palm. However I hear it's hard to get any answers from them.. so I figured I would post about my problem here. Maybe someone here has had this problem, and can help me, I hope.

Thanks in advance for any help/info anyone can give me.

Dee :)

I'm sad to see no one can help me out here :( If anyone happens to know the answer to my question, please post it here, PM, or email it to me, ok. In the mean time I have gotten a reply from the AOL for Palm help team. They told me if I was sure (and I am) I was putting in the right password, I may need to get an updated version of AOL for Palm program. I wrote back asking if I can get a a refund if it still dose not work..lol. I am waiting on a reply for that question.

I was thinking maybe a simple dialer program may work. Like that ones you can get for desktop PC. A small program that just dials into your ISP. I am not sure if such a program will work this AOL, but I could try. Does anyone know if/and where I could find such a program for my Palm?

Thanks,
Dee:)

PS.. How come some of the words in my post show up as links, and go to websites? I did not put them there.. what's up?
