I'm trying to copy Agenda on a (dying) 3mx on to an MC218a

Can anyone help? I have successfully synched Agenda from my 3mx into Outlook 2000 on my Windows ME PC, using PsiWin 2.2. So far so good.

I have installed EPOC Connect on my laptop running Windows 98, in order to back up the MC218 when I have transferred all my data, but I can't get the older version of Outlook on the laptop to read the Outlook file on the ME PC, so I have to find some other way to do transfer Agenda to Calendar on the MC218.

Does anyone know the best method? I don't want to download 27MB of PsiWin 2.3.3 and then find it doesn't work either. I believe that I mustn't have EPOC Connect and PsiWin on the same machine, because EPOC Connect takes over PsiWin, and then can't read Psion 3 data..........??

Doesn't the EPOC Connect version which came with the MC218 have a Convert Files option to convert from a Series 3 Agenda to the EPOC format?

In the PC, "Start > Programs > EPOC Connect > Convert Files"

It is not a case of EPOC Connect taking over PsiWin, because PsiWin is just the "Psion badged" version of EPOC Connect. What you cannot do is have two installations of EPOC Connect, in whatever flavour, in the same PC because they will cause conflicts. Actually, your MC218's version of EPOC Connect should be all you need for either device.

sorry to hear about your problems with your conversion process, unfortunately I cannot offer any advice.

However, I would like to know about your '(dying) 3mx'. What is the matter with it, as I would be interested in buying it from you.
