Just got a TT and the screen is white in the middle 50% with vertical bands left and right, each about 25% of the screen, that are light grey. Shows up most with a white screen, e.g. memo table of contents, but can see it on all screens. I like a bright screen and keep the backlight on full. If you turn off the backlight the screen is uniform, so it is definitely related to the backlight. Called Palm tech support and the guy I spoke to got a TT and said that he saw it too and would inquire about it tomorrow. Do others who have the Palm notice this (admittedly I am very particular about visual image and the improved screen is the main reason I'm going from my old Palm V to the Tungsten without ever buying the 515.) Is this a function of the way Palm does backlighting? Hard to believe on a PDA with this price. Would appreciate any feedback.
