You may or may not already know this but here is a tip on getting the wallpaper on a Zire31 without buying a program to do it.
By default the wallpaper screen is referenced to '1.jpg'. Using a file manager of your choice you can find '1.jpg' and delete it. Resize the photo or picture you wish to use as close as possible to 160x160. The reason for this is the default setting stretches pictures out of proportion. Once resized I'd recommend bumping up the brightness of the photo up about 25-50% before uploading to the Zire31. After uploading check the filename as even though you deleted the original '1.jpg' earlier the new '1.jpg' may look like '1[2].jpg'. Simply rename to '1.jpg'. Now go to the display options and uncheck Background and turn off the unit. Turn the unit back on and turn on the Background. Thats it :)
I picked a light colored background as the text and icons don't show correctly with the Blueline theme I prefer.
