I'm a first time Pocket PC user/owner; quick question.

Relevant Stats:
ActiveSync 3.5
iPAQ 3670
Windows 2000
Outlook 2000

Is it possible to have multiple contact, calendar, task folders? Specifically, I have two of each on Desktop:
Calendar
Work Calendar
Contacts
Work Contacts
Tasks
Work Tasks

This structure is to keep my family and work schedules etc separate. Is there a way to create the work folders on the iPAQ and sync to the ones on the desktop?

In short, unless some one knows of a third-party software, no. There is an add-on utility for contacts from Microsoft that lets you have two different set of contacts, but it is done via categories and not separate folders.

I use Outlook PCS (free from www.pocketpc.com) to sync all my contacts in subfolders and public folders. It installs into your Outlook software. You right click the contact folder and choose the PCS tab and enable syncing. Then every now and then you click the Outlook PCS button to refresh the contacts. It does not modify the contacts (they are read only to PCS) which is great for public folders. When you click the PCS button, it copies all the selected contacts into your main contact folder with a catagory that is titled: "Outlook PCS, [folder name]". It works great. Here is the link:
