I have two really simple questions that I can't find the answers to. I have searched with google and on this site. Any help would be appreciated.

1) What file system to SD cards use? (FAT, FAT32, NTFS, etc.)

2) If I format a Secure Digital 128 MB card with the "Card Info" program on my Tungsten E, can it be read by a Pocket PC device? I have an SD card that I am giving to a friend that has an Ipaq 1945 and i want to format it before I give it to him.

Thanks again.

The usual format is FAT and is compatible with card reader/writers on a PC so that you can copy files from the PC (JPG, MP3 etc. for use on the PDA) much faster than using HotSync.

It should work with the Ipaq, because windows has got a slightly more advance/versatile files explorer, which will accept any file.

Put the card in and try it, thats all i can say.

And also, Ipaq/Windows based PDA's act as portable storage, like a USB drive for example.
