You can transfer (or export) to the MS then view by Picture Gear (PC) or there is a trick that u no need to download to MS but just look up in the backup file on your sony handheld folder in your PC after Sync. Try out!!!

I have thus far tried MS Import and MS Export, Picture Gear, the Backup folder, and anything else I can think of, but I can't seem to get files (photos) from my Memory Stick (MS) to my desktop.

Anyone have "instructions" for this action for a NR70V?

Note: I am sure I am "over-thinking" the solution but I just can't see it.

Thanks!

Open your My Computer window.
Put your Memory Stick in the Clie.
Put your Clie in the cradle and start MS Import. When you do this, a new removable disk will appear in My Computer, (showing the name of your Memory Stick, if you gave it one.)
On your computer, start Picture Gear Lite.
Use the navigation tree to move to the photos. Depending on whether you took DCF or PGP photos, the location on the Memory Stick will vary. The file types will be JPG and PRC respectively.
Assuming your Memory Stick's drive letter is E, the paths look like this:
For DCF images: E:\DCIM\100MSDCF
For PGP images: E:\PALM\PROGRAMS\PICTUREGEAR

You can double click on the images in the main window to edit the photos or move around the treee.

Can get fairly confusing sometimes, eh?

OK....

Not to be a fly in the ointment, but does anyone know of a Mac OS X software product that does what Picture Gear for the PC does?

If not, does anyone know if Graphic Converter or a similar product can import and convert Sony's PRC format into GIF or JPEG files?

For whatever reason, Sony does not directly support the Mac, which is a very stupid decision. Mark/Space of Los Gatos, CA came to the rescue with The Missing Link, allowing us MacHeads to HotSync, mount the memory stick, etc.

All I'm missing NOW is the PRC format converter.

Anyone?

I found this link when I was looking (though realized I didn't need to).

The links aren't referenced, but maybe it will provide some more ideas/focus?

Thanks! I hadn't spent enough time here (obviously) to know there WAS a Mac section! LOL

Thanks again, it's exactly what I was looking for.....
