Greetings:
I'm new to this forum and new to Palm OS. Recently I picked up a Zire 72, and thus far am very happy wth my decision.

My questions: Have you used eReader or another product for viewing eBooks on your Palm? If yes, what provider/software are you using and what are your opinions regarding its availability of titles, ease of use, etc?
Also, is there such a thing as "audio books" for Palm OS?

Thanks in advance for your feedback,

Allin4greeN

Hello Allin4greeN,

This is Paul from palmOne. I have no familiarity with eBooks, though someone else here may have information to offer.
As far as audio books are concerned, perhaps you've already installed it, but if not, AudiblePlayer can be installed from the CD that came with your Zire, it's in the "Add software to your handheld" section. This will let you listen to audio books, magazines, newspapers, radio shows, etc. You can learn more about this at the palmOne Knowledge Library here (http://www.palmone.com/cgi-bin/cso_kbURL.cgi?ID=31275).

Hope that's of help.

Best

Paul

I've tried out a few readers, and the best is the eReader that came from Palm. Mobipocket was way too complex, and Adobe reader was dumb.
FictionWise.com is a great place to keep your eBookshelf with well priced books and lots of titles. I'm very happy with the site. You can even 'lend' some of your books to friends to read. (I've done this with 'secure' books, you just have to input your access code to to your friend's machine.)
eReader is simple and very user friendly, and no need to buy the pro version.
enjoy.

I read e-books all the time. I love being able to take my "library" with me. I buy them from e-books.com and fictionwise.com. They are less expensive than buying regular books and do problem with where to put them. I have an expansion card so can store many, many books. I have a Zire 71 and am very happy with it.
