I have a new Ipaq rz1715, that I have been trying to get connected to my home wifi network.
System Stats:
Ipaq rz1715 running windows mobile 2003 second addition
Sandisk 256mb + wifi sd card
Verizon Online DSL using a westell 2200 modem
Netgear MR814v2 wireless router
I have no problem connecting with my laptops but, cannot connect with my pda, It detects the network but will not let me connect.
On the my pda I show a little Icon that is a closed lock with a red x over it.
I just dont know what settings to put in it.

I am very new to my IPAQ 1715, but I installed the same wifi card yesterday. I had to make sure that it connected to the internet not work.
Then on the connection screen under the wireless , I selected all available.
For some reason, this card gets hung up once in a while, and I have had to soft reboot w/o the card, put the card back in, and then go the the SanDiskWifi icon on the connection page, disable the radio and then enable it.
I've also had it lose the storage part, and again, I did a soft reboot w/o card, and then reinsterted.
This probably doesn't help at all, but I did get it to work yesterday.

I didn't understand your last post, but I also found that the only way I could connect to the internet or download my mail was to have the network use the connect to the internet setting. But to ActiveSync with the card, I had to set it work.
My wireless router doesn't have an encryption key and it uses DHCP.
My connection is set up to access all available. The network card is set to connect to the internet and use serer assigned IP address (this is for mail and web browsing), for activesync it has to be changed to conect to work.
Also, I don't have a seperate firewall.
I'd be interested to see how it progresses.
Oh, I have exactly the same hardware, same router, same dsl modem. I don't know how you've configured yours or if you're using a firewall.
