Hello all.

I am totally new to the Ipaq 3955 which was a present from my wife last week.

I have not really got around to using it yet, and I have never used a PPC ever before, so I have a few questions.

I have read about people watching movies, or installing really big programs onto the Ipaq.

My question is, doesn't the Ipaq just have 64MB of memory? How can you fit a movie into this space? Can you buy add-on memory? If so, could you advise me what to be asking for?

Apologies for the newbie questions :)

Mikey.

Memory can be added via a SD type card. On top of your PDA there's a little slot. It looks like it a button. A small plastic filler card pops out and you can put a SD memory card. They look like this (http://www.sandisk.com/consumer/sd_card.asp)
They come in sizes up to 512MB.

You can also get a sleeve for your PDA. The 3955 comes with that cover sleeve, well you can remove that and there's an expansion slot on the back. Any sleeve will interface here and allow you to install different types of memory. For instance, Compact Flash (http://www.sandisk.com/consumer/cf_card.asp) which come in sizes up to 1 GB. You can even install an IBM Microdrive (http://www.storage.ibm.com/hdd/micro/overvw.htm) in most sleeves (right?).

HP Compaq makes a PC Card sleeve for the iPaq that allow you to install PC Cards which can go up to 5GB.
