A friend of mine finally broke down and bought a Handspring. It was a good PDA for him. He was able to take care of everything he needed to do. Then he cracked the lens and can no longer enter data. But, he let me use it a few times, and I decided I needed to get one also. But, I am one of those decisionally impaired types. I don't really want anything that has the word Micro$oft attached to it. I have used Linux and a long, long time ago in a galaxy far, far away I used an Apple IIe (still have it, wished it still worked).
I really want something that can support GPS or will in the very near future so I don't have to buy a seperate GPS unit to find someplace. Wireless networking and 10BaseT a major plus. Color Screen preferred. Music capabilities nice, but not necessary. Do not really want to mess with wireless modem (have a cellphone, don't need email through handheld if it can sync from pc/wireless network). Extra Mem. probably a good plan, because I do tend to write a bunch of notes (3M loves it when I run out of sticky notes :D ) and I am working on starting a computer business while attending college, so I have a lot of contacts to keep track of and I am about to become the Systems Administrator for the local Boys & Girls Club (which is about to get a wireless network, also) so, I need to be able to hold a lot of data and not worry about sorting through stuff every 3 months or carrying around an extra 15 pounds of "Laptop". Any and all suggestions, thoughts, and comments are welcome; gripes, moans, groans, and complaints also read and replied to as needed. :p
Thanks for the time and consideration. Andy
