will this upgrade serve any use for the 6315? I still get some issues with signal and bluetooth connectivity.

I don't think this upgrade will work with 6315, HP is probably releasing upgrade for 6315 very soon.

Hey Answerdude...i saw a thread on hofo that said the update would work on the 6315. Supposed to come from someone inside HP. Do you know of anyone outhere that has tried, or what the possible downside would be if it doesnt work?? I am getting a used 6315 this week, and would like to get it as up to date as possible.

I appreciate any advice you have!

There's a user on Brighthand that said it will not work for 6315 for sure.

I spoke to someone at T-Mobile today and they relayed that HP has an update that will be released soon. They are currently testing the update before releasing it. I would hold off attempting to use any other release. They may not be able to offer support for using the wrong software. The rep told me that the update would fix issues with bluetooth, freezing etc. I will be checking the site periodically for the release. You can check here to see the current update www.t-mobile/hpupdate, which you could monitor for any change in the near future to make sure you have the latest update. According to T-mobile, the update on the site today will do NOTHING to update what you already have.

I was banging my head against a wall with my h6365 and its BT connectivity. One minute it sees the headset, the next it won't. With the new rom update it won't! Even though it has paired and worked once. The headset works perfectly with m7 Motorola v550.

The h6365 also loses the SD card, not just one but all three that I have tried, all different makes and sizes, just when you seem to need it. All problems seem to stem from after the phone has been left alone for a while.

Constant soft resets plague this phone and I've dumped it in favour of an XDA IIs. I'm probably heading for as many problems but as I want my phone to work with a Garmin GPS10 and can't be doing with a soft reset on the motorway.

I had hoped that this rom update would have at least made the h6365 more stable but alas for me it has made it worse.

For all unhappy ipaq H6315 users here is the link to the new rom update
http://www.t-mobile.com/hpupdate/
This software upgrade is designed to provide:
Improved overall stability
Improved Bluetooth® performance
Improved voice quality
Improved e-mail performance
Other general improvements

How do I check the software version on my iPAQ?
To check the software version on your iPAQ:

Tap Start > Settings.
Tap the Systems tab.
Tap HP Asset Viewer.
Tap the Version tab.
- If your ROM Revision is lower than 1.10.08 ENG you should install the new software version.
- If your ROM Revision is 1.10.08 ENG or higher you should NOT install the new software version.

P.S to download this update you need to have valid T-Mobile number

When using the update do NOT restore from backup. Just use active sync to restore your files. If you use the backup and restore you will cause conflicts on the device and could lose functions like bluetooth.
