Have any of you guys used the Pocket Informant suite that seems to be a full product on the HX4700 and other PPCs?

Observations? Experiences? Pros, cons?

AD, do you use it yourself?

I'm quite happy with with the standard Calendar/Contacts and I don't really need to switch if the 1% it gives me that I might use comes at the expense of steep learning curve. I'm hoping the day will come when Garmin software on the GPS 10 will interact with the standard contact program in which case Pocket Informant might be redundant for our needs?

No, currently i am not in possesion of hx4700, but i know that pocket informant and agenda fusion do provide a lots of fuctions that MS does not provide in PIM area. For people who use pda mainly for these functions, it's worth taking a look at these 2 programs especially ones who migrate from PALM, these 2 programs can provide the same familiar functions and perhaps even more.

I played around with it for the first time and it links into the same database as the standard contact program. It looks like a very comprehensive package.

I swear by it. I would never go back. I am used to the palm os todo list, and PI has the best todo list ive seen. The calendar is great, address ok, but notes suck. I dont like notes. I use it for todo mostly.

Nate,

You don't like PI Notes. Why?

Which notes app do you recommend? I have tried built-in Notes, Word, PhatNotes Pro, TreNotes, but none of them really work for me. I am experimenting with PI Notes now.

I have been having problems with my screen calibration, and im not sure if its hardware or software. So far, without using it, its worked better. It might not be that programs fault, but i have avoided 'it.

PS i love it otherwise

You may have to RMA your unit. The aximsite has a sticky related to digitizer problems. Apparently some x50vs developed it during the first days or weeks of use. Does your's want to be recalibrated often? Can you draw a horizontal line along the top of the screen? Here is a link to the aximsite sticky (http://www.aximsite.com/boards/showthread.php?t=69316&highlight=digitizer+x50v). It has links to related threads.

Thank you. I know about the problem, however it is more than just that. I cant pinpoint the issue...sometimes i can go a week where everything is fine, and sometimes it could need to be reset every couple minutes. I had dell ship me an RMA, but its been on about a week and a half good period, so i am going to sit tight with the RMA box (that THEY send YOU to send it back in), and start using PI more.
