Is there a way to include the memory card in the syncing process? I keep some information/files on the memory card and make changes to them. I would like to sync them automatically like the rest of the files. Currently, I copy the files to main memory, sync, then move it back to the card. Is there another way?

Yes, but you need 3rd party software;
MightySync (commercial software)

MobSync (freeware)

AD, I tried the demo of MightySync but it did not do anything. It did open but nothing happened after selecting the file I wanted to sync..

MobSync was in a foreign language that I could not translate with XP.

I am trying to transfer a 315M file to the memory card. I tried copying direct to the card through my card reader. It copied but the Ipaq does not play it. When I view it through options in Mobile Sync, it shows up as the correct format but still does not play. I'll take a break from it for tonight. But I will revisit this issue and try again.

Mightsync and Mobsync work in conjunction with Activesync. So you must have activesync running and partnership established, it should start when you put your ipaq in the cradle.

Now, the problem can also be that the file is way too big. Activesync is not designed to move large file. Copying it via card reader as you did is a better way. As for the problem of the file not playing, what file format is this? And what application are you using to play it?

Yes it is a LARGE file, 317M. The file is an .AVI created with PocketDivx (shows a media player icon when displyed as a file). When I try to play it through Media Player, it says that it has no program associated with it. As you know, I am not an expert and am following a guide I found in a forum, so perhaps the istructions are not 100% accurate? However, the file I created does play within my media player on the desktop.

You need to use Betaplayer (i believe i mentioned it in the other thread) to play it. Start Betaplayer and open file from inside the program. With file this large, using usb card reader is the only way to copy.

I'll try to get BetaPlayer again. I tried before but the link would tell me "page not found". Lets see what happens.

AD,apparently the site is having problems. After searching for alternates, I found this site http://picard.exceed.hu/betaplayer/0.5/ and was able to download and install the files. Everthing seems to be working now with the drap and drop to the SD card writer method.

Thanks.
