I have got a netbook personality module from ebay and done the upgrade, the process is pretty simple and straightforward and finised in less than 5 min.

However, it puzzles me that after upgrading to netbook, the D drive becomes not available (not recognizable). Sounds strange, actually a minute ago the netbook img file was loaded from the very d drive and a minute later, the os refuse to recognize the drive.

I am pretty sure that the D drive is not physically damaged as it has become available again once the system is reversed back to Series 7.

I checked the forum seems nobody mentioned about this bad side-effect of lossing d drive.

Anyone can help me with problem? Thanks!

My Series 7 was originally build 751, upgraded to 756 by myself. The netbook OS.IMG file was downloaded from the Psion's offical site and unzip and renamed on to a 16MB Sandisk CF.

Wierd. Maybe it just doesn't like that particular Sandisk card? Have you tried any other cards?

Yes, I have tried many brands of CF cards and in different capacity, no luck.

The D drive always says disk not present , but the disks work fine if changed back to Series 7:confused:
