HELP-My Zire 71 has a mind of its own!!

My Palm is acting weird. It will randomly open different programs without me touching the screen. It will act as if the center of the screen is being touched, and sometimes it will not turn off. Ive tried cleaning the dust from around the digitizer and hard reseting it and that didnt fix it, and I don't use screen protectors. It was working fine yesterday but now it's all screwed up. Does anyone know what's wrong with it? :(

Hey there,
I had a similar problem with my Z71. It turned out, the problem was the hard case I was using. I bought an aluminum flip open case that had an SD card holder directly in front of the screen. Well, after a while of use, the case became bent and the edge of the card holder was pressing on the screen and eventually damaged the digitizer. When the palm was on, the palm would think the damaged spot was being pressed. I had the digitizer replaced twice before I finaly realized it was my case's fault. Hope that helps.
