Rat-chops,

As I recall you fitted your Seidio mount on to a Brodit clip? My wife does not like the Brodit in our car as it's location on the right dash vent puts the mount and PDA very close to the indicator stalk. It almost rubs against it. I was looking at getting the clip for the left-hand drive model of our car because Brodit don't give you a left dash vent option for a right hand car. I could fit the left hand version to the left dash vent but that would mean the angle of the clip would face towards the left window (driver for you, passenger for me) and it might not be easily viewable from the right hand side. Because of the profile of the dash it is not possible to install a right dash vent in a left dash vent configuration so my only option is to fit a left hand drive clip only.

Yes, I know I could change cars and buy a 30 liter gas-guzzling US/Canuck variant but I want to keep the car I have! So, do you know of any other clips I can look at as Brodit is the only one I know?

Hey Bokkie,

Can't you use the suction mount that comes with the kit?

On my iQue rig, the suction cup gave up after about 8 months and I them used Velcro to stick it back on the window. Works quite well.

Thanks anyway, Egmont, but the suction mount is not an option for us as we (wife and I) don't want anything obtrusive stuck on the windscreen. Dash vent mount is the best option.

I bet you have a Mini Cooper, while I have a "30 liter gas-guzzling US/Canuck " were I have no problems with obstruction of the windscreen:p

we have a Toyota Corolla Verso and it has a massive windscreen. There is room for several suction mounts. Personally speaking, I think suction mounts look a bit naff.:)

Back here Bokkie, sorry for missing this one. What about the angled mount for your car? That one looks a little further out of the way. BTW, my car is a civic (almost). 30 litres pretty much fills the tank!

Rodent-poo,

the angle mount is worth looking at. If they had made a dash mount angled the same way, then it would be ideal. A dash mount is best as a quick glance across is safer, whereas the mount you showed for my car needs a look downwards. I'll phone the UK agents and see what have to say.
