m515 and nokia 6310i bluetooth

Dear all ,, i have the above setup with drivers in my palm for said phone. when trying to register both devices the palm finds the phone ok,, it then asks for a passcode. (what is this) if i put in any no. the palm trys to find the phone but it times out. any help would be appreciated. ps the catch that retains the bluetooth card is also broken so i have to jam a piece of plastic in with it to hold it in place.
