I had "My Documents" directory some where like
C:\Documents and Settings\server1\My Documents\ with my PPC being below that
I changed the My Documents folder to be C:\PRIVATE
but
ActiveSync would not change the setting and was synching to an empty folder that it created in past location (C:\Documents and Settings\server1\My Documents\PPC My Documents\)
That's sad
So I went into regedit, found where it was and changed it:

Any side effects one might expect?
And thought this might be of good reference to some others...
