Is there a simple & free way to put the apps that I have on my card into catagories?
Right now I don't have a lot of apps to classify - so it is not imperetive, but it would be nice.
Thanks

Unfortunately I do not know of a way to catergorize the apps on the card. I do have one trick though that I have found helpful. I am an avid user of Handbase software. This is a database software like smart chart, mobileDB, etc. I use an application called McFile that allows me to put my databases in a folder on the card. I can move them back as forth as I please. Within McFile you can make folders to catergorize your DB's. You can also create a shortcut for the folders and it will be on your palm itself.
I have also experimented with other software that is two or more parts of applications. For example, I use an application that had a database within the application. I have been successful in moving that inner database to the card into a folder for future use.
Also, I use PowerRun to utilize my card storage to the fullest possiblity. This little application acts as a conduit and tricks the application that I have moved to the card to thinking that it is on the palm itself. PowerRun is a shareware application.
I recently discovered a freeware on Palmgear.com that does the exact thing that PowerRun and seems to work as smooth and as effective as PowerRun. This freeware is called Linkstart.
The advantages of also using an application as PowerRun and Linkstart is the application jumps into the unfiled catergory initially, but once you recatergorize the application, it stays within its catergory without using up the needed memory on the palm itself....the shell of the software application stays on the palm while the bulk of the software application moves to the memory card.

A third-party app launcher (LauncherX, ZLauncher, etc.) will let you do that. Those launchers also have file managers and other stuff, but even for the ability to categorize apps on a card, they're well worth the cost.
