My Tungsten is schedule for delivery Thursday. I tried silverscreen on my palm515, but as inexperienced as I am I don' t know which one would be better and I prefer some control over my pda. ;)
I would also be interested in the support issue, just in case.
AND, is Tungsten more interactive, ie, maybe I don't need something like launcher or silverscreen?
Thanks for any help

There is no right answer for this. Each person uses their TT diffrently. You just have to try each. What I would suggest is download the OS5 simulator load LauncherX and play with it, the do the same thing with silverscreen or any other launchers.
I'm playing with LauncherX now and don't know if I will do a launcher or not.
If you are looking for any programs look for programs that are OS5 ready or have been recently updated to support the TT. The amount of programs in this catagory is small, but eventually there will be more and more of them.
Hope this helps.

I've been using Launcher III on my m505 and my TT until LauncherX was released a couple of days ago. (I like to navigate using tabs.) I downloaded and installed it to give it a test run, but found it so much more versatile than Launcher III that I registered the upgrade that first evening. Here's a recent review of LauncherX:

A lot of users like SilverScreen because of the many cool skins. LauncherX will eventually have skins, too. It's a matter of preference.

Hello pdc,
I use launcher X on my TT, and love it. First of all, it allows Hires, which silver does not yet do.
Also, I find it faster.
have fun...

LDGB,
Hires stands for High Resolution, either for a software (means it works on a hires pda) or a pda (means it has a high resolution screen)
pdcparamedic,
Alas, I have to amend my previous reply about launcher X, it seems to have a few bugs in it, or at least, one BIG one : after a while, it simply launches the wrong apps !!! if I tap on citytime, my notes program opens !!
too bad, because I really liked it ...

but silverscreen doesn't yet support the TT navigation pad (they'll have it by year end they promise). Launcher X also has a better file manager built in. I was a great silverscreen advocate until Launcher X came out. Now I use launcher X. Much better control: for instance, with Launcher X I can control the order of the icons on each tab. Silverscreen defaults to the sort order you specified in the details screen. Manual sort order is good if you use the navigator pad alot. Launcher X's built in alternat fonts are better than silverscreen's too. Silverscreen has a recent apps button, but Launcher X will soon have the "chooser" implemented which will work from any app you're using (not just the Launcher app). So, I registered Launcher X and have been very happy. Plus, it's 20 bucks (new release special on the web site).

Yes, that's true - pirated (cracked) versions of Launcher X have several bugs. :p
If you download Launcher X from LX web site (http://www.launcherx.com) , you won't have such problems.
