IPAQ keeps slowing down

I'm a newbie user to PDA stuff, and recently I acquired a IPAQ 3970.

I have a few programs installed, and most of the time everything seems fine, however, I am getting irritated by the fact that the PDA keeps slowing down all of a sudden; menus take a couple of seconds longer to appear/close, and programs run slowly.

I have tried going to memory/running programs, and stopping any currently running programs there, but this doesn't seem to help at all.

Most of the time this problem is fixed by pressing the reset button.

What am I missing?

My IPAC is running PPC V 3.0.11171 (not that that means much to me!).

Try pressing hardware button 4 (itask) or go to Settings, System, Memory, Running Programs to see what programs are active the next time you experience this slowdown.

One thing you should remember is that the X button in the upper right hand corner is almost all cases will minimize, not close an application, so it remains running in the background.
