hello, i've lost the documentation that came with my Jornada 525; is the slot a Type I or Type II? And also, If i have a wireless modem, can I access the net using my home ISP or would i need a wireless ISP?
Thanks in advance!

The 525 has a Type I CF slot. The Type II is a little bit thicker than Type I.

I'm assuming that you already have an internet account, connect your modem.
go to Settings, Connections, Modem.
Click New Connections.
"Enter a name for the connection:"
MSN (or whatever you want to call it).
Your modem should appear in "Select a modem".
Click "Next".
Leave the country code as is, enter your area code & the dial up # that you use to connect to the internet.
Click "Next".
"Cancel call if not connected..." leave everything on this page as is.
Click "Finish".
Click "Dialing"
Choose the location you're dialing from.
Your area code & county code should already be chosen.
I like to disable call waiting. Click this if you want to.
Click OK.
Now you should see a new icon. Click it.
Enter your same user name that you use to connect to the internet from your desktop; usually the first part of your email address.
Ex: Bob23@juno.com Your user name would be Bob23.
**If you're using MSN, enter MSN/bob23. **
(Depending on your service provider, you may have to enter your complete email address.)
Enter your password. Leave "domain" blank.
If you would like, click save password.
Click Connect.....and you're off!!!
Good luck!

Thanks Pocketgirl!
I managed to log on with earthlink ISP which provides WINS and DNS numbers, which i used.
But, the connection frequently drop out, like 2 in 10 minutes??
Is that normal? What could casue that?

Not all ISPs provide access to the internet through PPP., the protocol the PPCs use to access the internet. Earthlink does. To access through Earthlink, all you have to do is open the properties of the connection on your desktop. And enter the DNS server addresses to the PPC, enter the access number, then you user name and password. That's it. When I use my PPC to access the internet, I never get dropped. Try using this method.
