Hello Everyone,
My M-130 is croaking a slow death and today I purchased a Palm Tungsten E to replace it.
Realizing they use different OS's and software is there any way I can import the calendar, address and other data from the M-130 to the Tungsten E?
TIA

Sure. In your PC, rename the m130's Backup file to something like BackupOld. Then HotSync the TE, and when HotSync Manager asks if you want to sync to your old user name or create a new one, use the old name. Your data will sync to the TE. After that, install your other programs one or two at a time from the BackupOld folder and make sure they work properly. Don't install any OS update files you may have had on your m130 and don't install any Hacks or Hack managers (if you had them)--they won't work on the TE.
I upgraded from a m125 to a TE, and the biggest problem I had was a few programs not working. Usually, they would freeze when I tried to exit to the launcher; a soft reset would get me to where I could delete the offender. A couple of apps just displayed a message that they wouldn't work and went back to the launcher.
You'll want to go to your favorite download site(s) and see if there are newer versions of some apps that support the hi-res display of the TE, too. And register Documents to Go--the registration number is in the desktop (PC) component--so you can download and install Documents to Go 6.008, which fixes a couple of bugs.

Hi Telyx,
Many thanks for the most helpful info as it is exactly what I needed to know. I tried to beam the address book to the TE but I discovered it is a locked file and I was unable to do that operation.
Really appreciate your help.

Actually, the address book database shouldn't be locked. The address book APP is in ROM, though, so it would show up as locked. (The database file in the m130 is AddressDB.pdb.)
