These two devices have a lot in common, VGA screens etc so anyone looking for a navigation´PDA would have a good reason to look at both. However, it seems that the FujitsuSiemens Loox 720 is not sold in the US. Here is a comparative review from the UK:

In another review I saw the unprotected camera lense was critisized and since the quality of the camera is so so anyhow, one might just as well stay with the non camera 718 model.

Here's a loox site and forum: www.firstloox.org

If I remember right it was basically the same as the Asus equivalent model. In the U.S. at least I would prefer getting service from Dell.

Here's a comparative review of all current VGA PDA models:

I doubt that the Loox be the same as ASus. At least screen manufacture is different. Asus' from Sharp, Loox' from Sony.

Edit: "Fujitsu Pocket LOOX v70 is the full copy of Asus MyPal A730 designed for Japan"

Being in Europe, I wouldn't have any preference for Dell service. OK, but not shining, at least here in Brussels.

The review has details on SD read and write speed for each model, it's interesting to see how much they vary
