I have a Treo 90 (which I really like), carry it in my pants pocket. It has developed dust under the screen. Anybody else had this problem? Have had Palm devices since July 1996 and this is first dust problem I have had, though I have heard of problems with some of the early color Palms.
Thanx in advance

Dust in the Tungsten. And now dust in the Treo. What's happening to Palm? What happened to quality control?

I should add: what's happening to Handspring?
Thanks for the heads up on the Tungsten. After logging onto that site it appears quite a few people are having this problem. Lack of quality control or possibly a design problem. My guess is quality control. I did send some feedback to Handspring but never received a reply.

You can always take the thing apart and brush the dust off... Treos are fairly simple to snap apart after you take the screws out.

You can try using a can of compressed air. Forget what it's called but good for cleaning computer related stuff. There is a little straw deal that fits on the end of the spray nozzle and would probably blow the dust right on outta there!
Many thanks for the idea. Will try. I have taken apart my Handera and succesfully put it back together, so the Treo shouldn't be much of a problem. I have always been a little leery of disassembling stuff since completely taking apart an antique Winchester and having to put all the pieces in a gunny sack and taking to a gunsmith to put back together. That was many, many years ago, though. Embarrasing.

I think the whole point is that there shouldn't be ANY dust inside of it.. Makes me think about my old UMax scanner. I had to take two of them back because there were fingerprint on the the INSIDE of the glass.. lol. Nice eh?

I agree with millerhifi. Its a can of COLD compressed air, in like a motor-oil looking spray-paint type can. It worked on my old IBM, it won't hurt your Treo, well, it shouldn't...Plus, using the can is fun (okay, I am easily amused...)
