Hi,
Does anyone know how I can safely buffer my rs-232 I/O on my M5?
Does it require a FM-FM USB adapter
and a USB-rs232 adapter-cable?
I've read of the rs-232 pins in the car adapter but I'd rather buffer it and hopefully protect the M5.

In the posting by AKlopper it appears that there may be some current limiting resistors in the cradle. Not sure which cradle that is though. I have both the Auto cradle and USB sync cradle.

AKlopper: could you tell me which one that is you posted a picture of?

It was the USB sync cradle. The board in the auto cradle is identical. The connector is just soldered onto the first 4 pins.
