I've recently discovered the Appalm Apple II emulator for the Palm.
<http://palmapple.sourceforge.net/>

Works ok on an old Sony Clie, but is a bit slow. Sadly, it gets going on the iQue but the display is garbled. Looks like it would run very fast on the iQue, if we could _see_ it.

Looks like it might be fixable, I'm even thinking about checking out the code and taking a poke at it. I wonder if any of the in house programmers here used an Apple II back in the day. I'm sure they could fix it a lot faster than me.

So which part were you hoping would be the joke. The fact that the emulator exists, or that I wanted it to work on the iQue? (ha ha)

I'm sorry if I was being glib or sarcastic, I was just having these flashbacks on doing the database programming. I wouldn't even know where to start these days.

I would think there is an emulator out there for Mac OSX, or even the PC's that might be a lot more use these days. (being more serious here)

In direct answer to your current question, I guess more the Apple ][ part started me thinking about April Fool ;)

As far as doing ANY work on the Ique, the more the better!

It's a lot of fun to play the old Apple II games on a Palm Pilot. The hard buttons are mapped to the game buttons. Many of the games do require some fast grafiti skills or an external keyboard though.

I've been enjoying Raster Blaster, Aztec, etc.
