I just bought my Clie SL-10 after being assured I could easily move my Outlook contacts to it and swap info with my friend with a Palm with Outlook. But there's no mention of that in the literature. Is the Calendar and datebook really compatible or is there going to be some pain-in-the-ass conversion to do each time?

NO conversions. Be sure to install the Chapura "Pocket Mirror" Conduits to Outlook just as you did with your Palm Desktop.

Intellisynch Lite, that comes with the Clie doesnt support this though.... so needs a LOT of messing around to get the info in... and definitely doesnt synch.... I'm going to have to pay 35US$ for the upgrade, which sucks

Go to chapura.com and download the "Standard Pocket Mirror Update". No charge. YOu may find it installs better by loading rather than copying to the hard drive then running the install.
Be sure to uninstall the Intellisync software first.

ok, now i'm confused... intellisync lite seemed to do it all perfectly. i just got an SJ20. When I loaded the CD that came with it, an intellisync configure screen popped up and asked where to map the address book, datebook, etc and i chose outlook, and boom, it's all there....

What would happen better if I used another program?

If Intellsync works, then you use it. If it doesn't work, you can try reinstalling it but if that fails try Pockket Mirror from Chapura.

I followed your advice and downloaded standard pocket mirror but it said I needed to have version 2 first.

Am I going to be stuck upaying the upgrade charge for INtellisync Lite? It is 50 dollars, that seems a bit steep.

Help! This is getting frustrating the only reason I bought this was to synchronize my personal and business calendars.
