My son just bought a nice Dell Axim (I haven't seen it yet, so don't kknow which model, but will soon) He said he is running both WEP and WPA on his network at home (sounds like overkill to me). He also says his laptop, and his two computers pick it up just fine........but the axim doesn't. I just told him to drop the WEP and stick with the WPA, but he likes to fiddle with stuff. Any of you know how he might be able to connect using both? Otherwise he says he has been able to connect to every other wifis with NO problem.

Is he using Odyssey Client to connect?

I just asked him. He seemed to think Odyssey is for bluetooth, and said he is using the built in wifi in 2003 edition. Is Odyssey for wifi too? (I am asking that)

Odyssey Client is 802.11 wifi client (not bluetooth). It supports more security protocols than WLAN in wm2003 including some enterprise-level securities. Some people find it easier to use than WLAN. Here's a short instruction from Dell;

Thanks much, I am forwarding that info to him. He just got this unit, and is just figuring it all out.
(you would think after 8 years of school he could absorb the info via osmosis) :rolleyes:
