I am thinking of buying a used Palm IIIC, I was wondering if you guys know any good sites with free games and free programs and etc...
Also Is there sometype of 802.11b addon I can buy so I can use it wirelessly?
Has any of you tried the Palm Mobile Internet Kit? What does it include and how do you use it.. What type of browser does it use and what type
of webpages can I access? Can I access all webpages with all types of graphics?
What should I look out for before I buy the Palm?
Also I heard you can download eBooks off the net, and so far I found only paying ones. So Since I know some sites with complete books in text, is

there any program that I can download to make eBooks so I can just simple Copy Paste a eBook from a site and make it into a eBook..
What else can I do with a Palm IIIC? Are the colors good..
Also Should I upgrade the O/S? Is it worth it?
THANKS!

The IIIc is a good pda, colour, reasonable speed, memory, etc. It is generally below the average pda of today, as it was the first colour palm ever, but, it is not an antique.
As far as freeware goes, palm is thumbs up in that catagory. Try palmgear.com, freewarepalm.com, this site, and even google.
Pocket pc has this as a great disadvantage for them, otherwise I might even buy one, no good freeware in any quantity though... to bad.
No real expansion is available for the IIIc, the only thing I can think of is the palmpix camera. I suppose you might consider the modem connection kit an add-on, but I haven't tried that.
The best sight for ebooks is memoware.com. It is quite large, and totally free. You will need a document reader for your palm, also completely free. Cspotrun, Peanutreader, etc.
In my opinion, the proud ex-owner of a IIIc, the colours are just fine, 256 vs. 65k, but I don't notice loads of difference on my clie, except in photographs.
The os will not really make a huge difference, and in fact, os 3.5 is, in my humble opinion, a somewhat more stable os. Not better, just stable.
Go ahead and get one, cheers
