There have been a number of threads on the subject of charging and the battery of the iQue, but I didn't find an answer to my problem.
My unit is about 1.5 yrs old; I use it regularly in my car (standard Garmin cradle), on my motorbike or in rental cars (using a car power to USB plug and a USB-UPC cable) and while hiking or mountainbiking (using a 4xAA battery box with Univ.Palm Connector).
For some months I find that it would sometimes not charge with the (non-Garmin) car-USB cable or the power pack. And some days later the problem seems over (usually when I am back from a business trip, too late). So charging is erratic.
I have no problems at all with the Garmin car cradle or the desktop cradle.
First I thought the UPC connectors were broken, but two broken charging systems at the same time seems unlikely.
My new theory is that the Li-ion battery has become "lazy" and may need a higher voltage than before.

Does anyone have this experience, or any thoughts on this?
