HI.
I'm new to this forum. I have a Garmin iQue 3600 with a car mount, the kind with the speaker built in to the power plug. The end of my cigarette lighter plug seems to have run away. The little screw on cap, the chrome button and the fuse are lost. Anybody know where I can go to find these kind of parts?
Any help would be appreciated.

You can probably get them at Radio Shack but if you'll email Garmin Customer Support - they'll probably send them to you for nothing.....just have to wait.

Look around where you store it. I found my buried in the glove box. This problem has been discussed before - you need to check the tightness of the connections from time to time.

On the subject of Parts, does anyone know where I can get an antenna for betty? Mine is dead and Garmin don't do spares or anything like that. The best they will do is if I send it to them they will fix/replace it for £125 which is a fixed fee they charge for any damage (out of warranty).

I don't want to go down this route as I feel £125 is a lot of money for an antenna and I don't want to go through all the hassle of serial number/software messing about.

While I do have 2 gillson antenna, it defeats the object of buying a betty to have to carry an external around - but I'll do it to save £125.

So if anyone knows where I can get one - doesn't even have to be an ique one - so long as it fits inside the ique flap (gillson one doesn't) and works with betty then I'll be your bestest friend ever...honest...

If it's the common problem, that wouldn't even help you, since it's not the antenna which dies, but a switching component on the main PCB. So even if you did get a good spare antenna, the result would be the same.

Ask Garmin. The internal antenna fault is a known issue, and they map repair it for you, even if it is out of warranty.

The switch is fine - it is the antenna that didn't like the milkshake my 4 year old poured on the table where betty was.

I've actualy opened an old gillson and opened betty and connected them up and it works - but the gillson is just 2 big to fit in the flap so I need something smaller!!!

Aha. Seems like you didn't tell the full story to begin with, huh?
Now I understand your question perfectly.
Don't have any antenna to spare right now, though.

Follow Up....
The nice folks at Garmin customer support told me that the parts I needed were not available so they sent me, free, the entire GPS holder, cable, ciggy plug/speaker unit. Everything but the bean bag and the tilt 'n' swivel.
Thank you Garmin. Now I'm off to Radio Shack to find one of those suction cup mounts I just read about.
