Is there any chance that my Psion will work with an Apple Mac Mini if I get one? Any ideas?

I know nothing about Macs but the only thing that works is Mac Connect anyway. If it works with your present Mac, it should work with your new Mac but I have no way of knowing if that's the case. I certainly wouldn't buy the new Mac before knowing if connecting to the Psion is important to you.

Thats not true. There is the freeware Java Psion Link program, which is designed to work on modern Macs:

or

Oh thanks for that info, I have sent the link to my son who has a mac and also works with Mac's. I presently have a PC but have been having trouble with it, so I was considering getting a Mac. The Psion was the sticking point, so the links you have sent will be very handy. Thanks again.

Hmmm, looking at it I wonder if it will do what I need. I need to synchronise my agenda and contacts with the computer. I can do it with no problems with my PC, but what about a Mac? It doesn't look to me as if that is what this will do.

good links thanks Chris

Lynne, a possible workaround might be to run epoc simulator on Mac and then view the psion files that way

Thanks for that Mark, my son will try this on his Mac to see what can be acheived before we decide on what computer I should get.

There is aSync that synchronises with iCal - this from Martin at the rather excellent www.psience5.net

http://www.ne.jp/asahi/home/384/

English page of Noriyuki Mihashi's EPOC software. Most notable is aSync -

"This application makes it possible to sync your Psion's Agenda file with iCalendar(.ics) file created by iCal on MacOS or Mozilla Calendar(Sunbird) on various platform."

Well, I made my mind up and decided on a Mac rather than a PC. It will be here sometime in the next 2 weeks and I will try my damdest (using all your advice) to make my Revo work with it. Failing that, I will have to resort to plan B and I don't know what that is yet.

Thanks again for your help (any more ideas will be very gratefully recieved).

Run a virtual PC on your Mac? (not ideal, but it'd work)
