HELP! I've recently downloaded PSIWin 2.3.3 from Psion's web site. Am trying to install on Windowss 2000 and the install file (English.exe) is spewing out FATAL ERRORS (Cannot write temp file s.. Cannot.... Cannot do anything but crash my system...)

Has anyone else encountered this installing PSIWin on Windows 2000 or XP? Have not experienced this with any other installs on my system - thinking it's the PSIWin install progam.

PsiWin 2.3.3 should install OK in 2000 or XP if you are logged on with Administrator rights. What you are experiencing is certainly not usual.

Mike - thanks for the post. I've tried to install on 2000 with adminsitrative rights (local) on the system. The errors tha tcome up indicate "Cannot write.." "Cannot create log file"...

I'll keep trying - if anyoen else has ideas - bring them on.

twofold.

One - although the account had Local Administrator group privledges - PSIWin 2.3.3. woudl onyl install as the Local Administrator.

two: Turned off all anti-virus apps for the install.
