I am trying to communicate with a serial device (proximity card reader) from my NEC P300. The DLL's supplied by the supplier to the reader are not suitable as they use "Public WithEvents rX200_Obj As RX200". I have the format for the dialog with the reader (which only repsonds when polled) but have never had to write a serial comms package. I have had a look at some 3rd party Development kits but the price is a bit over the top for a one of application. Has anybody written something that would work in eVB3 or can point me somewhere?
