I am thinking about getting a small thumb keyboard like the Accufeel G300, Seiko Thumboard, or Targus ThumbPad. Any opinions on how well these work. Good or bad experiances with any particular brand? Recommendations?
I am not interested in the folding keyboards. I don't want to have to have a table/desk availible to use the keyboard.

David,
Take a moment to look at Fitaly.com. I use Fitaly and am faster than friends with thumb boards.

I have a Seiko Thumboard. For the most part satisfied, excect for the fact that I wish the buttons were plastic and provided tactile feedback, rather than being made of rubber and bouncy. Plus, the buttons stick out too much, making it too easy to type more than one letter at a time...
Seiko should have taken some lessons from Samsung, which makes great cellphone keypads...

I bought the Targus Thumbpad keyboard for Vx and got rid of it almost immediately.
Main reason? DOES NOT HAVE A SHIFT KEY. No, I haven't missed anything and I checked with tech support. Instead of a Shift key (capital letters?) you have to use CAP LOCK -- which requires hitting a FUNCTION KEY first... then the same F key combo to uncap.
My only guess is they released it to market without any users ever trying it.

After trying several alternatives, my favorite input device is the Fitalystamp. See Input Software and Hardware Advice (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8147) for more information.

If you are interested in a Targus Thumbpad, I have a new one which I used two or three times. I found the Palm folding keyboard was more suited to my needs. Love it!!
I'd be willing to sell my Thumbpad for a very reasonable amount. Just contact me at skaryd@dulcimers.com
