Every time I try to use Bluetooth on my iPAQ 2755 (Win Mobile 2003SE), I get the error "The Bluetooth Radio fialed to turn ON due to insufficient driver memory available." I've reset it every time, no change. The iPAQ has plenty of available memory, I've even shut down all running apps, no difference. I've seen the other posts here but I haven't found a solution. The Microsoft site is useless, can anyone help?

There is a ROM update for this model that addresses some blutetooth issue, i'm not sure it can fix yours or not, but take a look at it;

I tried that update as well, still the same thing. Bluetooth doesn't load.

The resources area where bluetooth, wifi, and SIP drivers load has a preset limit in the current versions of the WM OS. This has nothing to do with how much RAM you may have available. So, if you have a large number of SIPs, for instance, the resource area may not have enough room left to accomodate wireless. If you have several SIPs and wifi loaded, it is almost a certainty. Also, with bluetooth, all enabled profiles (including those not being used) are loaded. In your BT setting, disable any that you do not use and this reduce the resources footprint required when you try to load BT.

What is an SIP, as referred to in the previous post?
Thanks.

SIP = Soft Input Panel, it refers to method of input available on your unit, examples are Keyboard, Transcriber, Block Regconizer.

SIP refers to the software input methods that you access by tapping the keyboard icon in the lower right corner of the screen. The more items in the selection list, the more SIPs that are loaded and, consequently, the more system resources area taken by them.

I hard reset the PDA, the installed my apps one by one, testing Bluetooth after each. I use mNotes (www.commontime.com) to synchronize with Lotus Notes. When I installed it, Bluetooth wouldn't load. I removed it and Bluetooth works fine. So it seems mNotes is using the same memory space as Bluetooth or it has another impact that is causing the problem, at least for me.
