Pleeeease HELP!

Hi

Just received the MS Pocket PC 2002 Upgrade pack from Compaq and tried to install it. I did the ActiveSynch upgrade and a back up of my ROM image, which all worked fine, and then went ahead to install the upgrade. At this point in the process, my computer reported a COM PORT ERROR and the connection between my iPaq and my computer was lost. Now, my iPaq appears dead and I cannot re-connect my iPaq with my PC as there is no way my PC will recognise a "dead" iPaq.

Does anyone know how I can at least restore my ROM image that I backed up?

From what I have read on other posts it sounds like it is time to call Compaq.

I have read posts about the new iPAQ upate not going well for some users and it results in a dead machine. Each time they had to send it to Compaq for repair.

I hope someone has a better answers but from what I understand about ROM once you loose the ability to boot a ROM up you have to send it to the manufacture to have the ROM re-flashed or replaced.
