Bluetooth issues with M5

Is anyone else having strange Bluetooth issues since they upgraded their M5 to version 2.5?

I can get Bluetooth Active Sync to work, but not generic Bluetooth serial connections.

I have tried connecting from the M5 to a Bluetooth serial port on my PC, and from the PC to the Bluetooth serial port on the M5 with no luck. Whenever I try to open the corresponding COM port on the M5 it hang and then sometimes throws up an error message saying that it cannot open the port.

I remember this working perfectly before the upgrade.

I seem to have found a solution. Rather than connecting to the Bluetooth serial port on the M5 from the PC, I need to connect to the Bluetooth serial port on the PC from the M5. I also need to ensure that this port is not already connected when I try to open it from my app, as the OS seems to want to initiate the Bluetooth connection itself when you open the port (it opens a discovery dialog when you open the port). It also creates a favourite using its own naming convention, so you need to ensure that you don't already have a differently named favourite referencing the same serial port. Aaarrrggghhh!
