locked up

All seems to be going fairly well. Went to expansion card to read bible and it is locked up...no buttons work, sync does not work, pda stays on, cannot turn off with button or just waiting for it to turn itself off. I don't see a reset button. Any suggestions?

I had the same problem. You will need to do a "hard reboot". While holding down the power button, reset the TT. Please note that you will lose your data, programs, and other stuff, but if you have successfully backed up your data, you will be fine next time you hotsync.

Don't do a Hard Reset until you've first tried a Soft Reset and then, is that doesn't work, a Warm Reset. You won't lose you data with the Soft and Warm Resets. Here's a ling to Palm's web site describing each type of reset:

On the Tungsten, the reset hole is hidden when the slider is closed. Open the slider and you'll see the reset hole at the back of your TT. Fortunately, Palm has made the hole large enough to be accessed by the tip of the stylus. Previous resets required unscrewing the stylus to get to a reset pin in the cap. (Or one had to use a paper clip, toothpick, etc.)

Nuts! Well, I came back and tried the link I posted and it doesn't work. When you get to that web page, click "Knowledge Library" on the left and on the next screen, type "How do I reset my Palm?" in the "Enter A Question" box. When you click "Get Answers", the first item on the list of returned finds should be "Information on how to reset a Palm™ handheld". Click on that to get to the page I was trying to link. Sorry about the extra work.

thanks, I found the "hidden" reset button. I did a soft reset, all is well (excpet tabers, may have to write them). Deleted the bible.
