Suddenly my iQue does not show state field in the Address Find. It only shows city field, clicking which I find only few cities in Illinois. I have also checked that installed maps include many states and all tiles are checked ON under QueMap/Preference/Detailed Maps - see attached.

Has anyone seen this, and how could I set it right?

PS: When I do a Find on City, it displays all cities for the maps installed.

I have had this happen when the data on my SD got corrupted. Not sure how it got corrupted. I formated my SD card and reloaded the mapset.

After reloading the mapset, everything was back to normal.

I am using a 2GB with all of NA CS. A quick way to see if all of the locations are loaded is to select the Postal Code and see if all of the zip codes seem to be there. If they are not, you will see blocks of zip codes missing (such as none starting with 100xx - it will be pretty obvious if you know the zip code ranges).

Do a Find - Cities - By Name, then click on menu, Select Map.

Normally, you'd see a choice of one City Select product, and the basemaps you have loaded. But if the detailed maps are split up in many, then your mapset is corrupt, and you have to re-install it.

This has happened to me too, once. The only difference is that in Europe, you loose the distinction between countries, not states.

You may also want to go to Properties in the Address find window and see if you are selecting the correct mapset.

Seems that I had it once where my mapset was not selected and I had a similar situation.

Thanks for all replies.

Based on above, I will first format my SD card and reload the IMG file. If this doesn't work, would re-build the mapset, and go from there.

I tried various steps to see which worked and which didn't:

DIDN'T WORK:
- Moved base IMG from SD to C drive. Deleted SUP IMG from SD. Then copied both from C to SD
- Built new mapset IMG. Copied to SD

WORKED:
- Reformatted SD, copied both IMGs from C to SD

I am back in business. Thanks for all the help.

Glad to see you got it going.

Thanks for the feed back of how to fix it.

Yep, same thing happened to me a few months back. No idea why, it just happened and I found out by having it not find addresses, seems the same as you found out. My wife was lost and called me from her cell phone. I tried to find her by address on the Garmin and it was kaput. Wife wasn't happy either.
