Help!!!
I just purchased a sony clie t 615 yesterday and was told I needed purchase an adapter to enable compatibility with my mac, I am operating on OS9.2 . I was told I could do this through sony.com or at the sony store in SF. I can not find "the adapter" on the sony website and when I called the sony store they told me there is no such adapter. I would need to buy a 3rd party software program that they don't support and they do not no the name of the software program or manufacterer. Can someone enlighten me, this should not be so difficult!! I am getting frustrated allready and haven't even opened the product.
Thank you
Renee

You should be able to connect the cradle via the USB port of Mac. Unfortunately Sony does not support the Mac. You need a shareware called MissingSync ($29.99) which you can buy at www.markspace.com

This allow you to sync with your Mac. HTH

Don't give up on the Sony Clie! It's a great product. As several people have mentioned in various messages, it is possible to get the Sony and Mac to sync, or hook up.

After the USB cradle is plugged into your Mac, and you download the Palm desktop software from Palm.com, you can use the Sony right out of the box for scheduling, calendar, tasks, etc.

The CD that came with the Sony can be read by the Mac, but you have to pick your way through the folders to find the software -- sort of an advanced technique. You can copy .zip files and have them decompressed using free or cheap utilities for the Mac.

Also, once you install the Palm desktop software, you can download and install so-called .prc and .pdb files, which are Palm OS format (both software applications and database files).

Don't give up the ship. You have one of the best entry-level or mid-level PDAs on the market. Good luck!
