My problem is how to open the T/E without damaging it once the 4 screws are removed. I thought there was a 5th screw under the back label, but it's only a mold break (unless there's a plastic pin from the inside, heat welded to the recess under that label to act as a "warranty seal", though not likely.) I removed the 4 screws and tried to pry it open, but it strongly resists me. Can anyone tell me how they resolved this problem? Many thanks, John

I've opened TE many times, there are clips around the the edges on the cover, you need some thin object (better non-metalic) to unclip the cover.
on this site there are guides of how to open the various palms, and even videos, which can help you.

BTW, why do you want to open TE?
I have some decent knowledge in palm hardware (i even put second battery into TE) - maybe i can help you out.

Thanks for the tip. I need to replace the battery... either that or buy a new, different unit with a replaceable battery.
