Which do you think is a better entertainment pda and a better all around pda. The dell X30 or the rx series from compaq? I have some buyers remorse my Ipaq and want to know which one is better? Does the x30 or the x50 pda's come with consumer ir?

Between Dell x30 and iPAQ rx series, They are very close. x30 high model is faster than both of rx models and if price is a factor, Dell has a better value. rx3715 is the only model that has camera. Neither of these models will get upgrade to wm 5.0. x30 has CIR, x50 does not but i think both come with demo of remote control program, reports say that x50 has about 8 ft. range. If you want to play games and video, vga models such as x50v or iPAQ hx4700 is a better choice, both has vga and larger screen and x50v comes with 3d graphic chip.

I don't really care about video games I rather have the cir feature because it comes in handy for me. So your saying the x30 might come with consumer ir? Anywhere I can find the truth to that? Nevo is a such a great feature and dont really want to loose it. I might go for the rx3715 since that should be a little faster, come with more memory and a camera.

x30 comes with CIR, and the ir port is on top of the unit so it's not awkward to use as remote control, but it does not have Nevo. The Nevo on rx3000 series can do more than just regular remote control :

So it's not a bad choice for you.

One last question which is a better multimedia player? I want something that I can play videos with a listen to music with. I got a 1 gig sd card so memory size does not matter. Which also has better 3rd party support?

Between x30 and rx series, they are pretty much the same in both areas. Faster cpu is better for playing video. So x30 high model probably has little edge over rx series. But VGA models such as x50v and hx4700 can play video at much higher resolution. They all have no problem running 3rd party multimedia programs such as betaplayer or gsplayer.
I don't have any information on nevo, I'm guessing that you may just be able to register as new user without unregistering.

the rx3400 is similar to the rx3700, just with less memory and slower CPU. rx3400 is rx3100 with camera.

If you are referring to the one from Expansys, no you don't have to do anything, it has English OS, you just set the region and time zone and other information you wish to US setting.
