Microdrive will work with the appropriate sleeve...

As stated above by randysaba the MicroDrive will work for you just fine as long as you have a CompactFlash (CF) sleeve or a PC Card sleeve with a CF Card adapter.
As for the WiFi I've heard good things about the Symbol CF WiFi cards. The come with Utilities to show you what your IP addres and settings are and they have a pretty good install on first try rate. HP also has a neat little utility, on the page that has any updates and other things, that helps you find WiFI networks. Another good choice would be to go with the manufacture or your WiFi access point. Using a CF Card allows for some great power saving features compared to a PC Card. I would highly recomend the CF Pluss Sleave from Compaq/HP for your lseave it has a cover for your screen and has a removable battery.
I would also suggest looking into using a SD Card instead of the MicroDrive for two reasons one you could use both the WiFi and storage at the same time. Also if you droped the iPAQ or the MicroDrive there is a possibility of the MicroDrive breaking because it has moving parts.
Well that's my two cents works.
