Well in a few weeks Maria, "Betty" and myself begin a motorcycle touring vacation to the Mid-West (USA). I wonder if Maria knows I'm bringing another women along?:)
This will be our 4th year touring on the back of our motorcycle. However, this trip will be the first one using Betty as our MP3 player and GPSR. Up to now, Maria would keep our old Garmin eMap in a pouch for occasional reference and we used an XM radio for the tunes.

It took the better part of an afternoon to adapt the mount to the top shelter of the bike and get the power, audio and antenna wiring installed.

(Hopefully I can figure out how to attach some picts to this.)

Notice the Gilson antenna on the top of the dash board. Best $25 spent on Betty!

A Special Thanks to board member "esondeen" for providing us a travel kit for free to cut up and adapt to our motorcycle. There still are really good people out there.

Tim

Awesome bike thodge. Looks like a factory Gold Wing? Now, if it had been a V-Rod, Fatboy, or a full-on BMW tourer you'd be my superhero!:D

Have a great time on the road. I quite envy you!

Hi I just looked at the pictures of your bike and although I don't have the faring or center console I think this might fit. I contacted Garmin but they were no help at either having a kit or knowing a aftermarket supplier. I would appriciate knowing where you got your mount and about how much did it cost?
