This may have been addressed before (looked, but couldn't find it).

Is there any reason that my iQue returns 2 complete addresses (duplicates) for each lookup in QueFind? When I input the street number, followed by the street name and then tap "Search", I always get duplicates of each result. Is this normal? Is there a way to turn it off such that I only get one of each?

Thanks in advance.

Try a soft reset.

I don't get duplicates, unless there is some ambiguity in the result. Like two streets with the same name, or no matching number.

Thanks guys -

Did a hard and soft reset; no difference -- it is more of an annoyance than anything, but apparently it is not something that everyone experiences.

Could it possibly be related to this (http://www.pdastreet.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=58218) ?

Hmmm,

I don't think so -- my recollection is that this has been happening for quite some time (way prior to loading the KeyLink software). I just thought that it was normal for some reason. I emailed Garmin tech support to see if they have any ideas.

Thanks again.

Do you have detailed maps from multiple products loaded? I have detailed maps from CS North America v6 and Metroguide Canada v4 loaded and I get doubles most of the time when I search for addresses.

I'm positive that it's duplicates in the POI database resulting from the load of two different products, in my case. The reason I am certain is that when I search on my own address, for instance, there is one slight difference between the two results. When you get a hit on an address, it displays the distance from where you are to the found addresses in the list. When I search for my own address, when sitting in the driveway, one of the results shows 20m to the destination and the other shows 30m.

That is consistent with the differences in these two map products. They never agree completely on the exact location of house addresses. You can see this when driving slowly down a street and watching the house numbers display on the top line of the map display.

Ken,

The only other mapping product installed on my iQue is Mapopolis, which is a component of a Real Estate application that I have installed (Pocket Real Estate) -- as far as I know, it doesn't have any interaction with the GPS software. It is used from within the Real Estate application to show, on a VERY simple map, where a property resides. But, who knows, perhaps it is bleeding over to the other application as well.

Thanks for the thought.

Sincerely,
